RuiYi provides high-quality CNC machining parts

RuiYi offers high-quality CNC machined parts in China. We have a large number of CNC machining centers to ensure that you get your parts quickly and cheaply.

For Western customers, we recommend prioritizing quotes for plastic prototypes from local prototyping vendors when choosing rapid prototyping.

This is especially true for metal parts made using 3D printing (e.g., SLA, SLS) or DMLS technologies.

Advantages and Limitations of 3D Printing Technology

3D printing is an advanced technology. It enables rapid prototyping of complex shapes. Once you provide 3D CAD data, prototypers can make your parts overnight.

They can do this without design constraints because the 3D printing process does not limit complex features. The main advantage of 3D printing is its speed.

Compared to traditional manufacturing processes, 3D printing greatly reduces the lead time for designers to test their prototypes.

This is especially useful for artists. Some works of art have abstract shapes. 3D printing allows artists to print almost any shape.

However, 3D printing does have limitations. For larger parts, existing 3D printers cannot handle them due to their limited size.

Additionally, some materials are still unavailable for 3D printing.

For example, SLA-printed “ABS simulants” and SLS-printed “nylon simulants” differ greatly from the real materials.

These simulants are not suitable for testing how a part will behave in the actual production process.

Advantages of CNC Machining

In China, our competitive advantage is our low labor costs.

For functional prototypes or physical models that require real materials, the traditional CNC machining process is the best choice.

CNC machining can mill or turn almost any real material, such as metals and plastics.

You do not need to worry about whether the material properties match the final production part.

These real materials have properties very similar to the final production part.

We offer a wide range of post-processing finish options.

These include sanded smooth, textured, matte painted, satin, gloss, polished clear, anodized, powder-coated, chrome-plated, nickel-plated, and PTFE-coated finishes.

You can select the right finish for your needs to ensure that your prototype parts meet production standards.

Post-processing and Surface Treatment

For large ABS or PC/PMMA plastic parts, we can cut them and glue the pieces back together after CNC machining.

For metal parts, we can use laser welding to bond them together. CNC machining is not only suitable for metal parts.

It can also be used for post-processing plastic injection molded parts and pressure castings.

Sometimes, you may need the exact dimensions of a 3D-printed part.

In this case, we can further process the part to achieve a perfect surface finish or precise reaming, threading, etc.

The surface of a CNC-machined part is usually smoother and finer than that of a 3D-printed prototype.

Cost and Quality

Today, RuiYi’s CNC machined parts are typically 50% cheaper than 3D printed prototypes.

They are also of better quality. This makes CNC machining ideal for functional prototyping and low-volume production.

By using our CNC machining services, you will get high-quality parts.

You will also save significantly on costs, especially if you need to use real materials and perform post-processing.
